Properties of Aluminium Alloy 6082

Aluminium alloy 6082 is typically used in highly stressed applications. It is one of the more popular alloys in its series. Aluminium plates in 6082 are most commonly used for machining. As a relatively new alloy, the higher strength of 6082 has seen it replace 6061 in many applications. The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy. It is excellent for anodizing, corrosion resistance and toughness.

Applications of Aluminium Alloy 7075

Aluminium sheets in alloy 1050 are considered as a commodity material with good forming properties, corrosion resistance and conductivity.

Aluminum 5005 is a medium strength aluminum alloy with a small amount of magnesium as its primary alloying element. It has good formability, and suitable for applications that require bending, spinning, drawing, stamping and roll forming. It is often used for applications that require an anodized finish.

Applications of Aluminium Alloy 1050/5005

The price of 1050 aluminium alloy is lower than many other aluminium alloys, together with good properties it is preferred for use in many sectors as industrial, construction, food industry, electrical & electronic equipment, household goods.

Alloy 5005 is often used in construction for facade and roofing applications. It is excellent for further anodizing.

 Anodised aluminium

The anodizing process is protecting the aluminium surface from undue damage and wear, anodizing aluminium adds a protective coating of aluminium oxide to the metal itself.

  • The durability and longevity of the finish is in direct correlation to how thick the applied coating actually is. Aluminium oxide is extremely strong and effective against weathering, but the process allows you to color the metal with dyes without the chance of future flaking or peeling due to the electrochemical bonding process.
  • Ease of Maintenance. Anodized surfaces sometimes take on dirt and stains, but through a simple cleaning process (usually a mild detergent will do it) you can restore the finish to like-new status.
  • Cost. A lower initial finishing cost combines with lower maintenance costs for greater long-term value.
  • Health and Safety. Anodizing is a safe process that is not harmful to human health. An anodized finish is chemically stable, will not decompose; is non-toxic; and is heat-resistant to the melting point of aluminium.

  • To provide color consistent paint and surface resistance, our pre-painted aluminium is coated through a continuous production process. The solid colours and metallic paints are applied in two or four layers, after which they are permanently sealed.
  • For high quality architectural applications, we use only PVdF (Polyvinylid Fluoride) paints of the highest quality (80/20). Mainly with inorganic pigments, these PVdF paints are ideal for outdoor applications. This helps to protect the pre-painted aluminium to make the façade material weatherproof, UV resistant and possible to be applied close to seawater.
  • With such protection, any kind of environmental impact on the material is minimal. Extreme climatic zones also do not pose a threat to the pre-painted aluminium surface.

  • Expanded Aluminium Pate is both versatile and economical. It is more cost-effective compared with perforated metals. Because it is slit and expanded, it creates less materials waste during manufacturing, thus you don’t have to pay for the material loss in the production process.
  • Aluminium expanded sheets have excellent strength to weight ratio and a number of patterns to choose from.
  • Expanded Sheet allows easy passages of sound, air and light, with open areas ranging from 40% to 70%. It is available in most material types and finishes, and highly versatile for producing different shapes, cutting, tube and roll forming.
  • Aluminium Expanded Mesh is a key material for building and architecture engineering. It is used for ventilating, security and decorations, since its openings allow the passages of air, light, heat and sound, and its material is lightweight. In addition, formed with decorative diamond pattern, expanded mesh can be used aesthetically, and may be found in applications like shelving, partitions, ceiling tiles, architectural cladding and more. It is also widely applied in filtration, laths, screen, fences or other industries.
